Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp

Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
Does not like to take his nap
So when his mother shuts the door
He takes a crayon from the drawer
And draws a picture on the floor

Here is the moon and here are the stars
And look! A spaceship going to Mars
And here are some speedy racing cars

Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
Is not quite in the mood to nap
So with a little jar of glue
And ink a snazzy shade of blue
He gives himself a great hairdo

His shirt looks smart with lots and lots
Of finger-painted polka dots
His socks look sharp with all those spots

Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
Is much too busy to take his nap
With scissors and his eiderdown
And feathers flying all around
He makes a blizzard come tumbling down

And with his pillow for a sled
And teddy riding on his head
He goes tobogganing down his bed

Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
Is not the type of boy to nap
His bedroom drapes were really meant
To be a three-ring circus tent
Come see the show! For just one cent!

His hanging lamp's a fine trapeze
And swinging round the room's breeze
With Teddy squeezed between his knees

"It's boring just to take a nap"
Says Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
He opens up his window wide
His hair still nicely styled and dyed
And lets a thunderstorm inside

His bed's a castle with a moat
And Ducky's merrily afloat
His toy box makes a perfect boat

Tomorrow when it's time to nap
For Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
I'm sure he'll dream up something new
Can you imagine all he'll do
Before his quiet time is through?

Perhaps he'll make some wings that flap...
For Jason Mason Middleton-Tapp
Does not like to take his nap.
