Tadpoles

Tadpoles

Let’s read together: Tadpoles

In the little pond to day
We saw some tadpoles black,
We got a jam jar, here it is,
To take some tadpoles back.

Mother says we mustn’t have
More than two or three,
For if we do perhaps they’ll die,
Our jar is small, you see I

We mustn’t stand them in the sun,
But in a corner cool,
We’ve put some pondweed in their jar,
We got it from the pool.

Mother says they’ll change to frogs.
I’d like that, wouldn’t you?
Why don’t you take a little jar
And find some tadpoles too?
