\nPubblichiamo anche noi questa poesia, scritta da Kitty O\u2019 Meara il 16 marzo 2020<\/strong> e pubblicata dalla stessa autrice sul suo blog, <\/strong>The Daily Round<\/strong>.<\/a> Kitty O\u2019 Meara \u00e8 viva e vegeta e questi versi non sono stati scritti, come erroneamente si trova in rete e nei social, durante la peste nel 1869. And The People Stayed Home nasce da un forte desiderio di combattere l\u2019angoscia di questo periodo storico contro la pandemia causata dal coronavirus.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"And<\/a>E la gente rimase a casa
\nE lesse libri e ascolt\u00f2
\nE si ripos\u00f2 e fece esercizi
\nE fece arte e gioc\u00f2
\nE impar\u00f2 nuovi modi di essere
\nE si ferm\u00f2<\/p>\n

E ascolt\u00f2 pi\u00f9 in profondit\u00e0
\nQualcuno meditava
\nQualcuno pregava
\nQualcuno ballava
\nQualcuno incontr\u00f2 la propria ombra
\nE la gente cominci\u00f2 a pensare in modo differente<\/p>\n

E la gente guar\u00ec.
\nE nell\u2019assenza di gente che viveva
\nIn modi ignoranti
\nPericolosi
\nSenza senso e senza cuore,
\nAnche la terra cominci\u00f2 a guarire<\/p>\n

E quando il pericolo fin\u00ec
\nE la gente si ritrov\u00f2
\nSi addolorarono per i morti
\nE fecero nuove scelte
\nE sognarono nuove visioni
\nE crearono nuovi modi di vivere
\nE guarirono completamente la terra
\nCos\u00ec come erano guariti loro<\/p>\n

In the Time of pandemic<\/em><\/p>\n

And the people stayed home. <\/em>
\nAnd they read books, <\/em>
\nand listened, <\/em>
\nand rested, <\/em>
\nand exercised, <\/em>
\nand made art, <\/em>
\nand played games, <\/em>
\nand learned new ways of being, <\/em>
\nand were still.<\/em><\/p>\n

And they listened more deeply. <\/em>
\nSome meditated, <\/em>
\nsome prayed, <\/em>
\nsome danced. <\/em>
\nSome met their shadows.<\/em>
\nAnd the people began to think differently.<\/em><\/p>\n

And the people healed. <\/em>
\nAnd, in the absence of people <\/em>
\nliving in ignorant, <\/em>
\ndangerous, <\/em>
\nmindless, <\/em>
\nand heartless ways, <\/em>
\nthe earth began to heal.<\/em><\/p>\n

And when the danger passed, <\/em>
\nand the people joined together again, <\/em>
\nthey grieved their losses, <\/em>
\nand made new choices, <\/em>
\nand dreamed new images, <\/em>
\nand created new ways to live, <\/em>
\nand they healed the earth fully, <\/em>
\nas they had been healed.<\/em><\/p>\n
