In the little pond to day
\nWe saw some tadpoles black,
\nWe got a jam jar, here it is,
\nTo take some tadpoles back.<\/p>\n

Mother says we mustn’t have
\nMore than two or three,
\nFor if we do perhaps they’ll die,
\nOur jar is small, you see I<\/p>\n

We mustn’t stand them in the sun,
\nBut in a corner cool,
\nWe’ve put some pondweed in their jar,
\nWe got it from the pool.<\/p>\n

Mother says they’ll change to frogs.
\nI’d like that, wouldn’t you?
\nWhy don’t you take a little jar
